Palmer, AK ~ As my wife and I enjoyed one of our local trails on #OptOutside Friday, we watched the sun continue to creep down the mountainside. We stood in our tracks, an impatient dog at our feet, and marveled at the beautiful landscape. Well until the -3 temperatures prodded us along to warm up the fingers. We are thankful for having these opportunities in our “backyard” as many of us are fond of saying.
At this time of year, we sit down and look at the various nonprofits that we want to support and chart out our planned giving for the end of the year. When we contribute to the Mat Su Trails and Parks Foundation, we are joining other advocates like yourself to improve our outdoor recreation opportunities; whether you live here, share our landscapes with family and friends who are visiting; or for all the visitors from across the globe that support our local economy. Our trails and parks enrich our lives. On this #Giving Tuesday, we encourage you to do something for your favorite cause.

EASIEST WAY TO DONATE For Alaskans
While applying for their PFD online, Alaskans can choose to Pick.Click.Give. in increments of $25. All donations are tax deductible and donors will receive tax documentation from the State once their donations have been processed. Permanent Fund Dividend applications are available from January 1 to March 31, though Alaskans may choose to add or adjust their pledges online through August 31.
