Cottonwood Creek Park

All Year
Walking

A hidden gem in central Wasilla, Cottonwood Creek Park is located along Cottonwood Creek between the Parks Highway and Palmer-Wasilla Highway. It contains a green belt area on the east side of the creek with a picnic table and several benches.  There is a delightful pedestrian bridge across the creek and a 0.5 mile (round-trip out-and-back) trail that weaves through alder, cottonwood, birch and many ferns.  Much of the first half of the trail is made of raised boardwalk, with more viewing benches built in. A great place to keep watch for waterfowl, as well as berries and mushrooms in the fall. Managed by City of Wasilla.
