A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to this year’s Frost Fest – the Valley’s Winter Resource Fair! The Palmer Train Depot was buzzing on Saturday, October 4th as an estimated 400 community members stopped by to learn about winter recreation, upcoming classes, scholarships, and so much more. The best part? Seeing everyone connect whether it was neighbors chatting, families planning winter adventures, or local organizations sharing their passion for the outdoors.

THANK YOU to the local organizations and outdoor recreation businesses who came out to share resources and inspire others to get outside this winter. You made this event possible, and we’re so grateful for your partnership.
A huge shoutout as well to Revel Treks and Tours who helped host, coordinate, and keep everything running smoothly!!

A big thank you to Flour.ish.ing Pizza for keeping everyone warm and happy with delicious food on a gloomy October day.
To everyone who attended: thank you for coming out and making Frost Fest such a success! We hope you left with new ideas and a fresh excitement for winter. We’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions for next year, drop us a note anytime at info@matsutrails.org.
And finally, we couldn’t do this without the generous support of our event sponsors — Mat-Su Health Foundation and AARP Alaska. Their contributions helped cover venue costs and kept this event free and open to all. We’re so thankful for their commitment to community wellness and connection.

Here’s to another season of snowy adventures, cozy trails, and shared winter joy, we hope to see you out there!
