THANK YOU! To everyone who came out for Frost Fest – the Valley’s Winter Resource Fair – and made the event such a success! The event was held on Saturday, Oct. 5th at the Palmer Train Depot and we estimate between 200-300 attendees came out to get information on winter recreation areas, activities, scholarships, classes & more! It was great to see so many people connecting with local organizations and each other, all getting excited for WINTER!

Thank you to the INCREDIBLE local organizations and outdoor recreation businesses who helped provide fabulous information & resources on how get out and enjoy winter! You all made this event possible; thank you for your partnership! HUGE shout out to for helping host and coordinate the event! THANK YOU!

Thank you to our food and drink vendors too (Lekker Coffee & Baking Co and Alaska’s Best Gourmet Hot Dogs)! We are grateful for the sustenance on a cold crisp October day!
Thank you to all the fabulous ATTENDEES! We are so excited you came and look forward to seeing you out on the amazing array of winter trails and parks the Mat-Su has to offer! We’d love to get your feedback on the event too! If you have comments, lingering questions, or ideas to improve the event for next year, please send us an email at info@matsutrails.org.
Did you pick up a copy of our latest Hatcher Pass Winter Playground Map? If you missed it, here’s a digital version.
We are so grateful for community support from Frost Fest event sponsors Mat-Su Health Foundation and Matanuska Electric Association, who provided funding that covered the cost of renting the Depot and made this event free to the public and for our participating organizations. Thank you for your support!!!
