Trail Assessment Training

Alaska Trails is hosting a Trail Assessment Training in the Mat-Su!

AK Trails
Are you a volunteer for a trail user group here in the Mat-Su? Itching to learn more about how you can be more effective in helping maintain some of your favorite trails? Then this is the opportunity you have been looking for.

The Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation is encouraging all of the trail user groups and our grantees here in the valley to take part in this trail assessment training program. This one-day training includes both classroom and field portions. It is designed to teach volunteers the basics of sustainable trails, common problems on trails and a process for identifying and cataloging those problems. Various methods – both paper and electronic – will be employed to collect and organize the data gathered.Trailwerx Logo
