Come out and Celebrate National Trails Day!

Celebrate National Trails Day 50

It is always an exciting time of year here in Alaska with the longer daylight hours giving us abundant opportunities to get outside to explore, and we can’t think of a better way than Celebrating National Trails Day!  Celebrating 50 years of connecting people to trails this is an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, share an adventure with others, and celebrate all that Alaska has to offer.

Bring family and friends out on Saturday, June 3rd, at 10am to Celebrate National Trails Day on the Red Shirt Lake Trail.  There will be an interpretive naturalist display and Dutch Oven cooking potluck.

Meet at the South Rolly Overlook, mile 6 of the Nancy Lake Parkway which is off of the Parks Highway at mile 67.2.  If you have questions, call: 495-6368 and download the flyer Let’s Take a Hike, Red Shirt Lake for more information.

This trails event is brought to you by the Willow Trail Committee, Alaska State Parks, Friends of State Parks, Mat-Su and the Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation.
